Triple 7 Woody Classic Softball Tournament a Winner

Jimmy and Stephanie Watson have been long time Arizona's Children Association supporters and sponsors.  Stephanie is a member of the AzCA board.  Last year, December 11-12th, they took their support to new heights with the creation of the first annual "Triple 7 Woody Classic Softball Tournament," which raised $3,375 for Arizona's Children Association.  Twenty teams participated in the two day, wood softball bat tournament which was sponsored by "Burgers and Beer" and "Sun Valley Beverage."

Banner sponsors included:  Empire Custom Apparel, Holbrook Electric, Hunter Insurance, Harrison Farms, Long’s Laser Floors, D&H Electric, Gila Innovations, Vanity Hair, Taggurs Tattoo, Sunrise Optimist, Brewers Restaurant and Sports Bar, MAC Electric, Mineshaft Lounge, Crazy Earl’s Cocktails and Pool, Sun Rental and Sales, Cavco Home Center, American Family Insurance, Echols Construction, Myers Trucking, Yuma Mortuary, Bordertown Skate Shop, It’s Real Electric, Chuck Dodd, Dr Lynn Morrison DDS, Alexander Ford, Alexander Mazda, Alexander Toyota, Zamora Kia.

Maple Street members Tony Rico Sr. and Tony Rico Jr. played a big role helping Jimmy and Stephanie organize fine details such as DJ’s, BBQ plates, tournament format, awards, etc. Empire Custom Apparel also “stepped up to the plate” and printed the tournament shirts at cost.  Jimmy said he has heard "nothing but great feedback," and commends the “dedication of local businesses, to the well being of others who reside here.”   He and Stephanie are very excited, and already working on next year's tournament.
