In
a perfect world, every mother, father and child has a
built-in support system to provide care and guidance
as each learns his or her role while growing as a family.
This support system takes the form of an extended family
or even a close-knit community. The world is not perfect,
however, and today, these foundations of stability are
often absent. The result is that many children, the most
vulnerable among us, are losing touch with the concept
of a safe and loving home.
Arizona’s Children Association, Arizona’s largest
non-profit child welfare and behavioral health organization,
is dedicated to protecting children and preserving families,
and has been since 1912.
The Association offers more than 100 programs that promote
long-term change rather than short-term solutions. Programs
focus
on early intervention as a means of preventing further
family distress. The goal: permanently break the cycle
of abuse and provide each child with the support system
they need to grow up in a healthy and loving family environment.
