Everyone
has his or her own vision of adoption. Most commonly,
it’s the
cooing newborn being lovingly placed in his new parents’ arms, or the toddler
arriving from a far off country to dozens of waiting new family members. For
more than 7,000 children in Arizona, this is not the situation.
These children have experienced more than most. Removed
from their biological homes because of abuse, abandonment,
and/or neglect, this group of Arizona children face a future
uncertain, a fate unknown.
You, along with Arizona’s Children Association,
can change that. Through both our Infant* and Older Child
Adoption programs, you can help one or more of these children
find the safety and security they need to grow up to be
active, productive, involved members of Arizona communities.
Making the Choice
Determining whether adoptive parenting is right for you and your family is
difficult. Children, especially children with backgrounds of abuse, neglect
and abandonment, completely change your life.
Once you decide you are ready to adopt, you can receive
more information about the program options in your area
by contacting the office
nearest you, or by completing the More
Information Request Form.
