Through a variety of programs,
Arizona’s Children Association works with families
in crisis to develop long-term solutions and realistic strategies
geared to permanently break the cycle of abuse, neglect
and destructive behavior. These programs and their results
save our state millions of dollars annually, and prevent
countless children from being placed in child protective
services and the state foster care system.
Intervention programs
throughout the state are built on a platform of Individual,
Group and Family Counseling as well as Wrap Around Service
programs. These programs, part of our outpatient treatment
offerings, all operate on the Arizona Model.

Special
Intervention Programs
Though Outpatient Programs are available statewide, Arizona’s
Children Association also offers one-of-a-kind intervention
and prevention programs in specific areas of the state.
In Tucson, the
KARE Family Center (Kinship
and Adoption Resource and Education) offers education and
training programs for foster, adoptive and kin caregivers.
The KARE Center exists, in part, as a resource and valued
community partner for providing intervention and prevention
services in the greater Tucson area. See what the KARE Center
has to offer by clicking here.
Two programs operate
in Tucson that provide intervention services as part of
an in-patient treatment program. The Residential
Treatment Center (RTC) provides 24-hour psychiatric
care to some of the most emotionally disturbed 5-15 year
old children in the state. These children, along with a
handful of day-students, attend a private special education
school affiliated with RTC.
The Nellie
P. Covert School is located on the main Arizona's
Children Association campus and, like the RTC, serves a
very targeted audience. On many levels, these programs work
together as a one-of-a-kind operation. To learn more about
RTC or the Covert School, click

Las Familias
Angel Center for Childhood Sexual Abuse Treatment, located
in Tucson, specifically addresses the needs of individuals
and their families victimized by childhood sexual abuse.
Las Familias mission is to facilitate the healing process
of children and adults who experienced childhood sexual
abuse. It provides a safe place for survivors to gain
strength, learn coping skills and develop trusting, caring
relationships.
