With more than 40 programs
and services across the state, Arizona's Children Association and its family of agencies, relies
in large part on the volunteer efforts of those within our communities.
Our outstanding volunteers have been invaluable in the work that we do.
From fundraising event volunteers to those who provide direct care
to clients, from one hour a week to hundreds of hours a year, we
have a volunteer opportunity to fit your unique skills and schedule.
Volunteers are
also currently needed in three priority areas:
1. Long term individual volunteers who will commit to a consistent time and number of hours each week
or month for a specific position, i.e. education, child care, recreation,
receptionist, accountant,
etc.
2. Volunteer teams to
complete one-time group projects at Arizona's Children facilities, i.e.
painting, gardening, facilities maintenance, packet assembly, cleaning
playrooms, etc.
3. Volunteer companies
to conduct in-house group drives to provide necessary items for children
in Arizona's foster care system and the families who care for them.
Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old and in some cases, 21 years old. All volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation and placement training. Some volunteers must provide proof of driver's license and auto insurance, fingerprint clearance and negative TB results.
