Dear AzCA Family,
First and foremost, I hope you, your family and friends are healthy and safe.
The team at Arizona’s Children Association has been continually monitoring information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the guidance and direction of the Arizona Department of Health Services and the CDC in order to meet the needs of the children and families we serve, and to ensure the health and well-being of our clients, families, staff and visitors.
With additional guidance and support, we have come to the decision to allow most of our staff to work remotely—starting this afternoon. Some of our staff, because of the work they do, will still be in the office to provide limited services to our clients who require in-person care and services. Front desk staff, office managers, and a rotation of supervisors are among those who will be on-site to take calls, answer questions and support walk-ins. This action will continue through April 5th and we will reassess; however, we will continue to monitor the situation regularly and make necessary adjustments.
Our partners at the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) have been pivotal in providing opportunities to continue to meet the needs of the children and families we serve in alternative methods during this unprecedented time. Now, more than ever, Arizona’s children and families are in need of behavioral health and social service supports. We will continue to be innovative in our ability to provide support during this time.
In closing, please know that I, along with our executive team and board of directors, remain invested in doing all that we can to continue to carry out our mission during this time. We appreciate your commitment to those we serve.
