Third generation Phoenician, Dale Harvey, feels blessed to have been surrounded by grandparents, parents, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends growing up. It’s amazing that Dale lives in the home that his father and grandfather built in 1948. This life contrasts greatly to what he learned at last year’s annual “Dancing for Arizona’s Children” event. Children in the foster care system may move from one setting to another. They change locations, they change schools, then at age 18, they’re out!

Dale is thrilled to help support Arizona’s Children Association knowing that this nonprofit really makes a difference in people’s lives. Dale will dance in this year’s event with the charming and talented Yelena from Billy Jones’ Dance Starz AZ. He says he loves to practice and that he knows he’s getting better, but competition makes him nervous. “Dancing for Arizona’s Children” is different. This event will raise needed money for AzCA’s life-changing programs. Dale plans to put his nerves on hold and share his gift for dancing.

Dale’s vocation is dentistry. His avocation is blacksmithing, having learned from talented Arizona metalsmiths. He has traveled to California, Maine, Pennsylvania and North Carolina to advance his artistic skills. Also, Dale is dedicated to keeping healthy, working out with Ben Novak at SPIRE, in addition to walking the canal banks and hiking the trails in the Phoenix Preserve and the Verde Valley. Dale lives in Phoenix and Camp Verde with his artist wife Bonnie and their rescue bluetick and redbone hound dogs.

Dale wishes to thank and acknowledge everyone involved in helping Arizona’s children in foster care. He is happy to be a part of raising awareness and money for Arizona’s Children Association, especially the transitional youth services that helps mentor and teach important life skills to young adults in their passage from foster care to independence in the real world.
