John and I decided to be a part of the Arizona’s Children Association’s dance event because we want to bring awareness to an important cause and growing concern in our state. We truly care about the future of the children in foster care and thought this would be a great way to promote and bring awareness to what AzCA is doing to make a difference in the community.

We feel very fortunate for the upbringing and family that we had and know how important it is for the 19,000 children in foster care to have the same privileges and opportunity to be loved as we did. The idea of doing this together, learning and practicing and then performing, is something very special to us. We are excited to do this together and see how our dance skills turn out!

Jennifer –

Jennifer Kaplan, Owner and Founder of Evolve Public Relations and Marketing, is a familiar face in the Valley with years of start-up experience. She began as Co-Founder/Partner of PRIME 3, LLC, in 2005. Jennifer then decided to start her own firm in 2010, with clients ranging from restaurants, retail, entertainment, real estate, medical, legal, global and international companies and nonprofit organizations. She is a native of Phoenix and prides herself on knowing and understanding the dynamics of the Valley and the deep rooted relationships she has established. Connecting with her client’s and the ability to understand their needs has led to her success. One of the philosophies she has is to be an extension of her clients team, in order to create the ownership and passion their clients expect. As an Arizona State University graduate, she is always cheering on the Sun Devils! She also enjoys spending time with her family and finding various ways to engage with and support the community. Working out is her outlet and yoga is her favorite. She has also completed five half marathons and loves being active.

John –

There is no disputing that Executive Chef John Collura knows his Italian food. Chef John may have been a Brooklyn boy but his roots start back in Sicily. His great great grandmother came to the United States on a boat through Ellis Island in 1905. Nana Coni, as John called her, cooked for the entire family once a week until she was 95 years old. That was the beginning of Chef John’s journey. John learned to cook with Nana Coni every Sunday as he stood by her side while she prepared dinner for 40 family members. As John grew so did his passion for cooking. Chef John opened up Cosmic Pizza and Deli, Giovanni Pizza and Bistro and then Cibo e Vino in Scottsdale. Giovanni Pizza and Bistro was a huge success and went on to be named as one of Phoenix’s top twenty restaurants. While owning Cibo e Vino, John elevated his profile and became a well-known celebrity chef, doing many local events and media/TV appearances. Chef John earned his Associates Degree in only one year from Le Cordon Bleu with a 4.0 GPA, winning several cooking contests along the way. Chef John speaks at Le Cordon Bleu to inspire young chefs starting their own journeys. You can now find Chef John consulting with other Valley restaurants, sharing his expertise and talents.
