Dr. Shannon Scott
Shannon Scott, D.O., FACOFP, is the Medical Director of the Midwestern University (MWU) Multispecialty Clinic, Assistant Dean and Clinical Associate Professor at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) in Glendale, AZ. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from MWU AZCOM and completed her family medicine residency at Scottsdale Healthcare (now Honor Health). As a family physician, Dr. Scott provides comprehensive patient care for all ages. She also serves in local and national leadership roles as a trustee on the American Osteopathic Association Board of Trustees and as a Past-President of the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Scott grew up in the Pacific Northwest with a passion for the performing arts. She completed her undergraduate studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Minor in Dance Education. Although she has no formal ballroom dance experience, she taught modern and jazz dance at her undergraduate college. Before graduating from Western, she sustained a challenging Achilles tendon injury. Interrupting her dance goals, this injury redirected her towards a career in medicine. Dr. Scott is the mother of two amazing children, ages 9 and 11, who enjoy dance and baseball. She is excited to share this performance opportunity with her family and friends.
