AzCA Honors PRIDE Month

June 11, 2021 | News

PRIDE Month, celebrated every June, commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan that became the tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement. PRIDE continues to help bring awareness and fight for LGBTQ+ rights while also displaying the influence and impact of the LGBTQ+ community locally, nationally and internationally. At AzCA, we are happy to support and stand with everyone within the LGBTQ+ community.

AzCA has a long history of leading the way in supporting and advocating for Arizona’s LGBTQ+ children, youth and families.  We were one of the first agencies in Arizona to support the licensing and certification of LGBTQ+ foster and adoptive families.  Our highly qualified and diverse staff provide ongoing support to the many children and youth we serve who identify as LGBTQ+.  AzCA stands proudly committed to the LGBTQ+ communities and celebrate with our staff, clients and families this PRIDE month.  #loveislove.

Jacob Schmitt, MPA, AzCA’s President & CEO

At AzCA, we focus on working with the community and other partners to create an environment where all families and individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender, are provided an equal opportunity to build a loving family for amazing children.

Arizona’s Children Association has been amazing along my journey to adoption. No matter your family lifestyle, they work with you to build your family and give these amazing kids a forever home.
