Bringing Awareness To Foster Care this May

May 14, 2021 | News

May is Foster Care Awareness Month. At Arizona’s Children Association (AzCA), we understand the importance of a supportive and loving family, biological or not. This month, we want to spread the word about being foster parents. Whether it’s learning about the process to become a foster parent or providing a monetary gift to AzCA so we can continue providing these vital services, we rely on people just like you! You can help children and youth in out-of-home care in your community, like this family.

“I adopted my son when he was 14 and I was a single mother. He is now 18 and was just accepted to ASU! We worked really hard and are both extremely proud that he is going to college!

I am currently in the process of adopting another teen. Thanks to AzCA and the help they have provided me, I feel more capable to take care of a special needs teen. AzCA and the resources they provide have helped me understand the commitment, patience and perseverance to be a strong advocate for both of my sons.”

AzCA Adoptive Parent

During this month of Foster Care Awareness, we hope you will consider making a difference in the lives of Arizona’s most vulnerable children and families. You can help foster hope in children without a permanent home. Become a foster parent or make a donation today!

Not only does your gift help families like this, making a donation may also qualify you for the Arizona Charitable Organization Tax Credit serving low-income families. This tax credit can reduce state taxes, up to $400 for individuals and $800 for couples. Please consult with your tax advisor.

Thank you for supporting AzCA!
